On Novermber 8th and 9th, researchers from Yale, University of Connecticut, and University of Massachusetts gathered at the Yale West Campus Materials Characterization Core for two days of target applications training on the Rigaku SmartLab platform. This event was organized under the Yale-Rigaku Symposium umbrella but represented a departure from the regular speaker-driven format. Rather than a full day of invited talks from both Materials and Life Sciences fields this event served to provide attendees, arranged in small groups, with directly relevant training modules which could be immediately applied to their newly installed and soon-to-arrive SmartLabs.
